Nima Wangdi could be out for 3 months

Thimphu City can confirm that side-back Nima Wangdi could be out for at least three months following the injury he sustained while on international duty with Bhutan. He is suspected to have fractured metatarsal bone during Bhutan’s 5-0 loss against Guam.

Nima was an integral part of Pema’s Bhutan national team during its pre-qualifiers campaign for FIFA 2022 and AFC 2023. He started both games against Guam as right-back before he was replaced by Tenzin Dorji in 59th minute in the 2nd leg.

A three month lay off could mean that Reds will be without his service for all nine games in the first round of Bhutan Premier League 2019.
