Karma Sonam has today re-signed to become a Red after a brief campaign away from home with Ugyen Academy.
On signing the player, City team manager Migma Dorji said: “We are very pleased to have completed the addition of Karma to our exciting squad for the coming season.” The midfield sensation has been part of Thimphu City’s 2018 National League campaign. After spending two seasons away he has been able to gain very good experience. “He brings plenty of top-level experience playing in the Premier League with Ugyen Academy and Thimphu League with BFF Academy. He is part of our long term project.”
Ngawang Dhendup was equally happy and excited to welcome the youngster. He said, “We are confident Karma will adapt very quickly to being a City player. He is a fantastic addition to the squad needed to challenge for honours.”
The 19 year old is yet to decide on what jersey number he would wear. The last time he pulled on that red shirt, he wore number 18.
