Thimphu City FC have won the BOB Bhutan Premier League 2020
The club clinches the championship just one game before facing the nearest challenger, Ugyen Academy. With a comfortable 6-2 win over Tensung FC, City has now taken 37 points from 13 games, creating a nine point gap with only a game remaining. Despite playing one less game, Ugyen Academy only have six points at their disposal.
This is the Club’s 2nd national title, having last won the 2016 National League. Since its inception in 2012, the club now has a total of four domestic league titles under its belt, two Thimphu League, one National League and one Premier League.
